Student Athletes Ages 7-18

COS’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) program offers year-round opportunities for student-athletes aged 7 to 18 to delve into the exciting world of STEM. Our interactive programs encourage individual and team-based exploration, fostering problem-solving skills essential for future careers in technology and innovation.

Elementary Students and Parents/Guardians

The STEM and PLAY program is crafted to captivate elementary students and their parents/guardians with enjoyable activities. During the fall and spring seasons, student-athletes gather once a month on Saturday mornings for a game session, followed by a snack break and an hour of immersive STEM activities at the Big Play Center of Excellence.

Our YoPro workshops cover a range of exciting topics, from connecting with the environment to honing effective communication skills. Through hands-on activities and interactive sessions, kids have the opportunity to appreciate and protect the natural world, develop crucial communication techniques, and explore new interests.

Coding is the backbone of modern technology, from toys to gaming systems, cell phones, cars, and even advanced robotics. At COS, we introduce this fundamental language through a phased development program, empowering our student-athletes to cultivate essential programming skills.

At COS, student-athletes engage in hands-on robotics projects using kits designed for extensive exploration and programming. Our robotic teams are structured to enable athletes to rotate through various roles during the building and coding processes, fostering teamwork and skill development.

COS student-athletes apply their coding skills to create Virtual Reality (VR) experiences that they can explore and share with others. They have the opportunity to design VR games for play and create VR walkthroughs of houses, showcasing their creativity and technical abilities.

The sports analytics industry is rapidly expanding, with professional and college teams recognizing the significance of data analysis in enhancing athlete performance and scouting. At COS, student-athletes wear devices that track their biomechanical and soccer-related performance, allowing them to develop skills in data analysis and presentation to enhance individual and team outcomes.
